About The Role

We are looking for a proven results‑focused Operations Manager to lead and manage the total operations of our manufacturing plant based in Hendon, SA. The role covers all aspects of the operations, including safety, people management, process management, quality, productivity, technical, maintenance and continuous improvement. You will also have P & L accountability and KPI reporting. In this highly agile and challenging role, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

Overall site leadership and responsibility for the Hendon SA facility

Support the sales team in the evaluation, preparations, and submission of quotes with customer follow‑up

Managing the day‑to‑day activities of the Operations function including production, maintenance, quality, procurement, logistics and warehousing
Providing robust leadership with exceptional planning and organising skills to ensure critical targets and deadlines are met
Providing effective management,



oversight and review of all resources, including personnel, technical, material and financial, to achieve optimum profitability over the budget year

Forecasting labour requirements and providing recommendations and changes to equipment, work layout, production methods and material handling procedures

Developing high‑performing teams with a focus on continuous improvement

Driving a safety‑first culture with open communication ensuring best practice and compliance across all operational areas

Qualifications

5 years’ experience as a Manager or similar role
A proven leader, self‑driven, resilient, and wants to succeed and own the accountability of the role
Motivated to grow and develop yourself and your team and overall site capability

Able to engage broadly, multi‑task, and have strong systems/analytical skills
