About the Role

We're looking to hire a Senior AI Engineer to work closely with other members of the engineering team to scope, design, document, develop, integrate and test software to address end-user needs for a large web-based application.

Key responsibilities

/n

/n
Designing, implementing and testing software components in Java

/n
Implementing generative AI and agentic AI solutions in software products.

/n
Using data storage technologies and designing data storage models e.g. Postgres, Elastic

/n
Coach a small teams of developers to ensure quality and timely delivery of software components

/n
Deploying and managing applications in a cloud workplace e.g. AWS

/n
Using web front-end technologies e.g. HTML, CSS

/n
Using software frameworks e.g. React, Angular and Spring

/n/n

Requirements

/n

/n
Australian citizenship required-due to eligibility for NV1 defence clearance requirement for the role





/n
Bachelor's Degree in systems or software engineering/ computer science or related degrees

/n
10+ years experience in software engineering / technology development

/n
Experience implementing generative AI and agentic AI solutions in software products.

/n
Must stay current with state-of-the-art AI developments and best practices, with the ability to lead AI adoption initiatives within the development team.

/n
Highly organised, problem solver with the ability to get things done

/n
Excellent, cooperative team player and able to meet deadlines

/n
Solid communication and technical documentation skills, including UML

/n
Experience with key technology areas including software engineering, data storage, web technologies
