The Child and Adolescent Health Service
(CAHS) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Nurse
Specialist to join our vital STARS (Safety Team Afterhours Response
Services) team.
The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) STARS provides
advanced clinical nursing expertise in the recognition, assessment,
escalation and management of children experiencing actual or
potential clinical deterioration.
STARS is fundamental in
after-hours clinical safety at Perth Children's Hospital,
responding directly to medical emergencies across all inpatient
wards.
Our core aim is to provide safe, high-quality after-hours
clinical care through a coordinated, multi-disciplinary, and
integrated response to clinical review and
deterioration.
In this role, you will work
in close partnership with the Hospital Clinical Manager and
after-hours Medical Teams.
The role supports safe, timely and
effective responses to deteriorating patients across the hospital,
working collaboratively with medical, nursing and allied health
teams to improve patient outcomes and reduce preventable adverse
events.
About Perth Children's Hospital
(PCH): is Western Australia's specialist paediatric
hospital and trauma centre, with 298 beds.
Located at the Queen Elizabeth II Medical
Centre, PCH offers primary care for severe medical cases and
secondary services such as inpatient, outpatient, and day-stay
care.

team, particularly during emotionally challenging situations
requiring escalation with patients and their families?

Can you
give an example of how you've managed a challenging stakeholder

A
current resume which summarises your experience and includes

qualified referees, with at least one being a
recent supervisor/line manager.
