Job DescriptionAbout Us Sizzle N Sambar is a well-established Indian restaurant based Victoria Park and Willetton in Western Australia, known for delivering authentic, high-quality cuisine.
We are seeking an experienced and passionate full-time cook to join our growing team.
About the Role We are looking for a skilled Chef to lead and contribute to the preparation, cooking, and presentation of Indian cuisine to consistently high standards.
This is a hands-on, senior kitchen role.
Key Duties and Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and cook a wide range of Indian and contemporary dishes
Design, develop, and update menus in line with seasonal ingredients and customer preferences Supervise, train, and coordinate kitchen staff including cooks and kitchen hands Ensure all food preparation meets strict hygiene, food safety, and quality standards
Monitor food stock levels, order supplies,



and manage kitchen inventory Control portion sizes and minimise food wastage Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation
Collaborate with management on costing, pricing, and menu engineering Required Qualifications and Experience With Qualification:

Minimum Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent recognised qualification ?
Minimum 1 year of post-qualification full-time (or equivalent part-time) relevant experience as a Chef ?
If no trade qualification then a minimum 3 years of full-time (or equivalent part-time) relevant experience as a Chef
All candidates must also demonstrate: Ability to lead and manage a kitchen team Strong knowledge of food hygiene regulations and food safety practices
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and public holidays Job Type: Permanent Full time Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 per annum (plus Superannuation)
