An opportunity is available for a Mechanical Design Draftsperson to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing environment in Melbourne's south-east.
This role will support project delivery across product design and engineering data migration activities.
We are open to experienced professionals but ideally the role is suitable for emerging Draftspersons with relevant exposure to Creo and Windchill and are looking to further develop their skills in a hands-on engineering setting.
What's on offer
Casual contract (3-6 months)
$40 - $45 per hour + super (depending on experience)
Full time hours (38 hours per week)
Immediate start
Onsite role based in Mentone, VIC

About The Role
Working within a product engineering team, you will contribute to the design and documentation of mechanical components and assemblies, along with supporting Windchill data migration activities.
Responsibilities include:
Creating 3D models and manufacturing drawings using Creo
Assisting with Windchill data migration and engineering workflows
Interpreting technical specifications, AS/ISO standards, and customer requirements
Producing accurate and high-quality engineering documentation
Collaborating with engineering and production teams to support project delivery

About You
Either experience in mechanical drafting or design or hold a relevant tertiary qualification seeking experience
Exposure to or proficiency in Creo 3D modelling
Familiarity with Windchill or similar PLM systems (even at a foundational level)
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
Desirable (but not essential)
Experience with AutoDesk Inventor or AutoCAD (2D)
Exposure to manufacturing environments (machining, foundry, etc.)
Understanding of engineering standards (AS/ISO)
Interest in or exposure to FEA or engineering analysis
