Quality & Clinical Governance Lead - Aged Care
Lead the Future of Aged Care
Community Accessability is seeking an experienced aged care leader with current, practical experience implementing the Support at Home Program and developing Care Management services.
As Australia's aged care sector undergoes its most significant reform in decades, Community Accessability is expanding beyond its successful Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) services to deliver contemporary Support at Home services.
This newly created role will be instrumental in driving that transition while establishing the quality, clinical governance and risk frameworks that will support our future growth.
We're looking for someone who understands more than legislation and compliance.
You have practical experience navigating aged care reform, embedding new service models and working within the evolving Support at Home environment.
You understand what good Care Management looks like, can translate regulatory requirements into operational practice, and are passionate about delivering safe, person-centred services.

About the Role
Reporting jointly to the Risk, Systems & Compliance Manager and the Aged Care Services Manager, you will provide leadership across quality, clinical governance, compliance and continuous improvement within our aged care services.
Initially,



your focus will be supporting Community Accessability's transition to the Support at Home Program by helping establish our Care Management service, embedding the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards and developing governance systems that support safe, person-centred service delivery.
As the organisation grows, you'll continue to provide leadership across clinical governance, quality improvement, incident management, risk management, auditing and organisational compliance.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and supporting Support at Home implementation activities.
Establishing and strengthening governance for our Care Management service.
Providing expert advice on clinical governance and complex client matters.
Leading quality improvement, audits and accreditation activities.
Managing organisational incident, complaint and risk systems.
Developing and reviewing policies, procedures and governance documentation.
Monitoring compliance with aged care legislation and quality standards.
Analysing trends and performance data to drive continuous improvement.
Working collaboratively with operational leaders to support high‐quality service delivery.
What You'll Bring
To be successful, you'll demonstrate:
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (preferred) or Enrolled Nurse.
Recent experience working within Australian home care or community aged care.
Practical experience implementing or preparing organisations for the Support at Home Program.
Experience developing or managing Care Management services, Home Care Packages or similar service delivery models.
Strong knowledge of the Aged Care Act ****, Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards,



SIRS and contemporary aged care regulation.
Experience in clinical governance, quality systems, risk management and continuous improvement.
Experience managing incidents, investigations, complaints and corrective actions.
Well‐developed policy writing, analytical and report writing skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build robust relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
A practical, solutions‐focused approach with the ability to influence organisational change.
Experience supporting accreditation, internal auditing, governance frameworks or major aged care reform projects will be highly regarded.

Hold or obtain a National Police Check.
