About the role
The HSU is excited to recruit a passionate Member Services Officer as an addition to our Member Services Division.
This is a full time permanent in office position located at ourSydney CBD Head Office.
If you are passionate about supporting workers' rights and have an interest in industrial relations, this is the role for you.
The Primary function of this role is to provide information; support, advice, and representation to members on issues that affect their working lives.
Hours of Work
The contracted hours of work for this position are 35-hour week and 9-day fortnight for this position.
Responsibilities
Interacting with Members: taking calls and greeting members in person in response to their needs and concerns.
Delivering high-quality member service, listening to members' requests, and working to find the appropriate solution
Investigating and Resolving Complaints: Face members complaints, provide solutions.
Interact with internal resources to identify the issues, responded to concerns and follow‐up with a satisfactory resolution in a timely and affective manner
Provide Information: Ongoing education and information to members in regard to the organisation's benefits, policies, and procedures
Case Management: Provide sound advice on non-complex dispute resolution as required
Essential Skills and Experience
Strong interpersonal skills for both internal and external communications and relationship building
High organisation and prioritisation skills and able to perform multiple tasks concurrently
Ability to positively contribute to a supportive, open atmosphere and team environment
Proven conflict and problem‐solving skills
Demonstrated ability to use a PC and related commercial software packages
Remuneration
$88,227 - $95,242 (Dependent on relevant skills and experience) + 12% (12.5% for females) Employee Superannuation Contributions
