About The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced social worker to deliver high qualityYouth Private Rental Access Program (YPRAP)support and brokerage services to young men, women, and families,



including those with accompanying children who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness.
This is afixed-term, part-time position(30 hours per week, contracted until 7 July ****) based in St Kilda, VIC.
The successful applicant will berequired to work occasional Saturdaysto support young people to attend private rental inspections and other tenancy-related activities.
This position is based in St Kilda at the Upton Road youth refuge.

Conditions
Compensation is in accordance with theSCHADS Award - Level 5.
You will successfully
Promote and facilitate access to the Youth Private Rental Access Program (YPRAP) across youth services within Melbourne's Southern Metro region
Deliver Housing Clubs to build young people's knowledge of the private rental market, budgeting skills, and tenancy readiness
Assess young people's suitability for private rental and support skill development in partnership with YFS and external services
Provide case management support to clients whose primary goal is securing private rental accommodation
Manage and reconcile YPRAP brokerage funds in accordance with organisational and funding requirements
Collaborate with the YFS case management team to secure safe and sustainable housing outcomes for refuge residents
Demonstrate a strong commitment to working within a psychologically informed practice framework
You will have
Tertiary qualification in Social Work or a related discipline, with relevant experience in community or social services
Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality support to young people, families, and young parents in crisis and transitional settings
Strong understanding of youth homelessness, crisis intervention,



and collaborative service delivery approaches
Proven experience engaging and supporting young people with complex needs, including mental health, AOD, out-of-home care, and adolescent violence
Well-developed assessment skills, with knowledge of trauma-informed, attachment, strengths-based, and developmental frameworks
Ability to manage competing priorities, maintain compliant case records, and respond effectively to critical incidents and safety concerns
A current and valid Victorian Employee Working With Children Check
A current Victorian Driver's Licence
