About The Role
Whitehaven Coal is seeking motivated and safety-focused Bench Hands to join the Drill & Blast team at Maules Creek Mine.
Working alongside our experienced Drillers & Shot Firers, you'll play a vital role in supporting safe and efficient blast hole drilling operations across site.
These positions are based at Maules Creek Mine near Gunnedah, NSW and operate on a 7/7 roster.
These opportunities are only available to current contractors engaged at Maules Creek Mine.
Applicants who are not current contractors may be considered for future vacancies and placed in our talent pool.

What You'll Do
Assist shot firers with the safe and effective operation of blast hole drilling activities
Support drill relocations, setup and preparation of drill sites
Maintain a clean and organised work area while identifying and reporting hazards or equipment defects




Work collaboratively with the Drill & Blast team to achieve production targets while maintaining the highest safety standards
What You'll Bring
Experience in mining operations or a similar heavy industry environment (Bench Hand experience highly regarded)
Ability to work outdoors in a physically demanding environment
Contribute to a positive safety culture & demonstrate visible safe working practices
