Senior Building Surveyor/Building Regulations Consultant
The Role
This role offers a diverse mix ofcommercial certification and consultancy work, providing exposure to complex, high-value projects across multiple sectors.This is an excellent opportunity for either aRegistered Building Surveyoror an experienced professional working towards registration who is ready to step into a senior-level position.As a Senior Building Surveyor, you will play a key role in delivering building certification and advisory services across commercial projects.
You will work closely with developers, architects, builders and consultants to provide practical, solutions-focused compliance advice throughout the project lifecycle.
The role offers a strong balance of statutory certification responsibilities and consultancy-based advisory work.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake building certification services across commercial developments
Assess and determine Construction Certificates, Complying Development Certificates and Occupation Certificates
Provide BCA/NCC compliance advice during design and construction phases
Interpret and apply relevant legislation, codes and standards
Conduct site inspections and compliance assessments
Liaise with clients, architects,



engineers and regulatory authorities
Contribute to technical advisory reports and performance solution assessments
Support project delivery from concept through to completion
About YouExperience in building surveying, ideally within commercial projects
Solid knowledge of the NCC/BCA and relevant NSW legislation
Registered Building Surveyor (preferred but not essential)
Alternatively, substantial industry experience with progression toward registration
Strong communication skills and ability to provide practical, commercially aware advice
High attention to detail and sound technical judgement
Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders
