About the Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre
We are a client-centred organisation, supporting the community throughout Barwon, Wimmera, and the South West regions, offering a range of specialist support services to people impacted by sexual and family violence, encompassing 24 hour crisis care, specialist response services, early intervention programs, Victims Assistance Program, Community Legal Services, trauma recovery programs, professional training and primary prevention initiatives.
About The Role
This position is primarily responsible for providing leadership, supervision, and support on daily operations to a team of specialist family violence case managers.
The role supports the delivery of consistent and high-quality services to clients; and is responsible for upholding and evolving a positive team culture with outstanding professional qualities.The Specialist Family Violence Team Leader will proactively build specialist evidence-based family violence knowledge and capability across the workforce and provide support to staff in the Case Management Team.
The Specialist Family Violence Team Leader is responsible for ensuring that regular professional supervision is provided to Case Managers on a fortnightly or systematic basis.
The supervision will encompass both administrative and clinical aspects of case management understand; continuing to a coulter of reflective practice and continued development in skills and knowledge.
The position reports to Southwest Operations Manager - Access, Family Violence & Accommodation.

Key Selection Criteria
Essential Qualifications and Experience
Your application must address the following:
Degree or above qualification in social work, psychology, family therapy or similar discipline.
Essential Skills and Knowledge
Demonstrated aptitude toward leadership and a commitment and skills to provide individual, peer and group supervision, debriefing and self-care practices.
A comprehensive understanding of case management practice informed by a gender analysis of violence against women and children, the impact of trauma, human rights, and feminist theory.
A comprehensive understanding of family violence including a theoretical framework that includes intersectional feminist and structural theory and locates individuals in their social and familial context.
High level ability to provide advice and direction for staff on complex matters including,
crisis intervention, comprehensive risk assessments and safety planning, timely and considered decision making, and planning to respond to client's needs in a trauma informed manner.
Ability to model positive and dynamic leadership skills to lead, support and develop a team of case managers to inspire vision, direction, and professional conduct.
Demonstrated staff management experience, including recruitment and workforce retention, performance management and professional development strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport and foster harmonious and team-oriented relationships internally and with external stakeholders.
Demonstrated resilience and aptitude in working with complex and important matters, sound judgement and ability to prioritise competing demands.
A versatile approach to leadership within a changing environment, embracing growth and creating a positive vision, culture, and direction for the team.

Period of Appointment
This position is fixed term until April ****.
Hours of work
The position is Full time or part time 0.8-1FTE.
Location of the position is at the Warrnambool office or outreach locations as required.
Hours will usually be worked during business hours of 9.00am to 5.06 pm between Monday to Friday.
The days are based on the needs of the service.
Flexibility in working hours will be required from time to time as the need arises.
Salary and Conditions
Annual salary will be paid in accordance with the industrial instrument, The Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre Enterprise Agreement **** and classified as SCHADS Level 7, pay point 1 -3.
Industrial Instrument: The Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre Enterprise Agreement ****.
Salary Packaging: Provided via Maxxia.
PBI status with other expenses available to package above this cap.
The Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre is a Public Benevolent Institution.
Superannuation: The employer will also make superannuation payments on your behalf in accordance with theSuperannuation Guarantee (Administration) Act ****.
Probationary Period – 6 months with a review conducted during this time.
