About the RoleThe Eastern Health Learning & Teaching Directorate seek a senior nurse for the position ofClinical Support Nurse - Intensive Careto join our dynamic team.
This role is pivotal in providing leadership relating to clinical change and development, as well as the education and support of learners and staff within the Eastern Health Intensive Care Service.

About YouTo be successful in this role you will possess:
Current Nursing &Midwifery; Board of Australia (NMBA) registration (essential)




Relevant postgraduate qualification in Intensive Care or Critical Care nursing (essential)
A minimum of three years of recent acute intensive care nursing experience at a senior level (minimum CNS or above) (essential)
Previous Clinical Support Nurse experience in intensive care (highly preferred)
Ability to foster a collaborative, inclusive, and psychologically safe learning culture
Experience in providing constructive feedback to support professional growth, as well as the ability to receive and reflect on feedback to enhance personal practice
Willingness to support change, including participation in quality improvement, education, or practice-change initiatives
Ability to actively participate in education initiatives including presenting in study days, workshops and lead recruitment and performance management (if required)
Proven experience in preceptoring, mentoring and teaching novice clinicians
Advanced skills in critical thinking, problem solving, organisation, and prioritisation
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice).
Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.




Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year.
Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
