Glowave Group Pty Ltd is seeking aSenior/Junior Hairdresserto join our team at our Merrylands salon.
This is apart-time positionthat offers flexibility whilst delivering exceptional hair services to our valued clients.
Whether you are an experienced senior stylist looking for part-time work or an ambitious junior hairdresser eager to develop your skills, this role provides an excellent opportunity to grow within a dynamic hair and beauty services environment.
You will be instrumental in maintaining our reputation for quality craftsmanship and outstanding customer service.
Key responsibilities
Providing a comprehensive range of hair services, including cutting, colouring, hair extensions,styling and treatments tailored to client preferences and hair types
Consulting with clients to understand their hair goals and recommending suitable services and products
Maintaining excellent standards of hygiene and salon cleanliness throughout your shifts
Building and maintaining strong client relationships to encourage repeat bookings and loyalty
Keeping up to date with current hair trends, techniques and industry best practices
Following all health and safety regulations and salon protocols
Supporting junior staff members with guidance and mentoring (for Senior Hairdressers)
Contributing positively to the salon team and working collaboratively with colleagues
Ensuring accurate record-keeping of client preferences and services provided
What we're looking for
Current and valid hairdressing qualification or apprenticeship completion (mandatory)
For Senior Hairdressers: 3+ years of professional hairdressing experience with a demonstrated portfolio of work
For Junior Hairdressers: Recent qualification or currently completing apprenticeship with enthusiasm to develop skills further




Proficiency in a wide range of cutting, colouring and styling techniques
Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to make clients feel welcomed and valued
Excellent attention to detail and ability to achieve consistent, high-quality results
Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to work part-time hours as scheduled
Knowledge of hair care products and the ability to recommend appropriate treatments
A passion for the hair and beauty industry and commitment to continuous professional development
Team player mentality with a positive attitude towards collaboration
