Finance Officer – Reconciliations and Accounting Support

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our Head Office team in North Melbourne.
This role plays an important part in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial information across multiple entities within Access & Security Co.
Reporting to the Group Finance Manager you will work across reconciliations, accounting support and month-end activities, while also providing backup support to the Accounts Payable function when required.
About the Role
Reconciliation & Supplier Query Management (primary focus):
Maintain supplier accounts and ensure charges are accurate
Investigate supplier invoice discrepancies against purchase orders
Follow up supplier queries and work with internal teams to resolve issues
Generate supplier credit requests and process credit notes
Reconcile supplier statements and identify outstanding items
Produce and review outstanding purchase order reports
Work across multiple systems to investigate and resolve reconciliation issues
Accounting Support
You will also support the wider finance team through:
Bank reconciliations
General ledger reconciliation support
Fixed asset maintenance and depreciation processing
Preparation of journals including credit card,



travel & fleet expenses
Intercompany invoicing and month-end support
Assist with year-end and reporting activities as required
Accounts Payable Support (Backup)
From time to time, you will provide support to the Accounts Payable team during periods of leave or increased workload including:
processing supplier invoices and payments
employee reimbursements
credit card processing
About You
Tertiary qualification in Accounting
Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in all work.
Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship skills
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
Strong organisational skills with the ability to effectively prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
High levels of integrity and accountability
A willingness to learn, develop new skills and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Previous experience in reconciliation, accounts payable, accounting support or a similar finance role will be highly regarded
Experience in Pronto, MYOB, D365, Oracle a bonus.
