We are seeking a passionate and resident-focused Lifestyle Coordinator to lead the delivery of meaningful activity and therapy programs within our aged care community.
This role is central to enhancing residents' quality of life by ensuring programs are engaging, person-centred, and aligned with individual goals, preferences, and abilities.
You will work closely with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams to create a supportive, inclusive, and vibrant environment.
Key Responsibilities
Resident Care & Lifestyle Programs
Build strong relationships with residents and their families to ensure programs reflect individual needs, goals, and preferences
Plan, schedule, and deliver lifestyle and therapy programs that enhance quality of life
Prepare, coordinate, and run daily activities, group programs, and one-on-one sessions
Develop and manage monthly and weekly activity calendars
Plan and deliver special events, celebrations, and themed activities
Monitor residents' physical, emotional, cognitive, and behavioural changes and adapt programs accordingly
Complete and review assessments, progress notes, and daily activity registers
Deliver diverse, inclusive activities that promote engagement, independence, and choice
Support residents living with dementia and/or trauma through protected, engaging, and enabling environments
Ensure all programs and documentation meet professional, legal, and organisational standards
Program Coordination & Administration
Coordinate therapy programs in collaboration with specialist staff
Ensure effective use of facilities, equipment, and resources
Monitor and improve the quality and suitability of equipment and environments
Reconcile invoices related to lifestyle program resources and purchases
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting systems
Identify opportunities to enhance resident experience and program innovation
Build and maintain community connections to support resident engagement
Work collaboratively with Managers, Registered Nurses, and care teams
Guide, mentor, and support Lifestyle staff to deliver high-quality experiences
Supervise volunteers and support their involvement in programs
Participate in staff training, meetings, and professional development
Contribute to performance management, continuous improvement, and team success
Assist with onboarding and orientation of new staff
About You (Skills & Experience)
Certificate IV in Leisure and Health (or equivalent), or relevant industry experience
Previous experience in a lifestyle role within aged care or community settings
Experience leading, managing, or coordinating teams to achieve shared goals
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build supportive relationships with residents and families
Intermediate computer skills and confidence with documentation systems
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Understanding of Aged Care Standards, compliance requirements, and safe work practices
Willingness and ability to drive a 12-seater bus when required
Flexibility to attend occasional events outside standard working hours
Compliance Requirements
Current Working with Children Check (VIC) or equivalent
Satisfactory National Police Check prior to commencement
Willingness to comply with organisational vaccination policies
