Senior Communications & Engagement Business Partner
As the Senior Communications & Engagement Business Partner, you will plan, deliver and evaluate communications and community engagement activities that support Council priorities and strengthen relationships with the community.
You will provide expert advice on communications approaches and engagement plans, create targeted content across a range of channels, and identify opportunities to promote Council initiatives and achievements.
You'll also use data and insights to measure success, improve outcomes and ensure the community receives clear, timely and reliable information.
This is a leadership role where you will support a small team, build communication and engagement capability across the organisation, and foster solid partnerships with stakeholders at all levels.
You will lead communications and engagement initiatives, support media and issues management activities, and drive a customer-focused approach that enhances Council's reputation and community trust.
This is a full time permanent position (38 hours per week).
This is a Band 7 role with a salary range between $110,534 and $119,249 per annum, plus superannuation.

Experience and skills we're looking for
Experience developing and delivering communication and community engagement strategies, plans and campaigns.
Experience creating high-quality content across a range of channels, including digital, social media,
print and media communications.
Experience providing strategic advice to managers and stakeholders on communication, engagement and reputation matters.
Experience leading, coaching and developing team members to achieve high-quality outcomes.
Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to tailor information for different audiences.
The ability to build productive working relationships and collaborate effectively with people across a large organisation.
The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.
Experience using data, feedback and insights to evaluate activities and improve future communications and engagements.
Sound judgement and the ability to respond calmly and effectively in sensitive, complex or fast-paced situations.
Experience in community engagement including deep understanding of best practice principles, practices, and how to build trust and participation within diverse communities.
