The Role
Based from ourSmithfield depot, you'll be responsible for the protected and efficient transportation of freight while delivering exceptional service to our customers.
Your responsibilities include:
Operating Prime Movers, Semi-Trailers and B-Double combinations
Conducting daily pre-start inspections and vehicle safety checks
Complying with Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL), Chain of Responsibility (CoR), fatigue management and load restraint requirements
Completing delivery paperwork and electronic documentation accurately
Loading and unloading freight where required
Maintaining a professional attitude with customers and colleagues




Working safely while protecting people, equipment and freight
Representing FBT Transwest with professionalism at all times
About You
To be successful, you will have:
Current MC (Multi Combination) Licence
Previous experience operating MC combinations, B-Doubles and heavy vehicles
Strong knowledge of transport safety requirements, including HVNL, fatigue management and load restraint
A commitment to workplace safety and compliance
A professional attitude and strong work ethic
Excellent communication and customer service skills
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
A reliable and punctual approach with pride in your work
Dangerous Goods (DG) Licence
MSIC Card
BFM accreditation (or willingness to obtain)
Experience within transport and logistics operations
