Azooa is preparing a response for********-Joint-EWIS/L-RFQ – EWISL LCRC Systems Engineerand is seeking suitably qualified contractors for this Defence chance.
This role supports theLand Countermeasures Reprogramming Cell within Army Headquartersand requires aLevel 3 Systems Engineer / Countermeasures Engineerwith strong Defence systems engineering, RF / communications systems, Mission Fill design review, Engineering Management Systems and test and evaluation experience.
About the Role
The EWIS Branch / EWIS L SPO / LCRC opportunity is for aCountermeasures Engineer / Systems Engineersupporting theLand Countermeasures Development and Verification capabilitywithin Army Headquarters.
The role will support:
Force Protection Electronic Countermeasures capability
Mission Fill documentation and design review
Laboratory and over-the-air test and evaluation activities
Technical Certification and release support
Key Responsibilities
The successful contractor will support the LCRC Chief Engineer and work with ADF, APS and contracted personnel to:
Support operation and maintenance of the LCRC Engineering Management System
Provide input into planning and conduct of Mission Fill testing
Provide feedback on test result documentation
Gain Technical Authority delegated by the Principal Engineer
Maintain technical proficiency on FPECM systems
Incorporate CMD&V; principles into technical documentation
Apply Land-specific testing processes
Engage with Mission Fill developers
Perform Technical Data Assessments on FPECM system data
Provide technical support to field trials
Conduct document audits and update LCRC internal processes
Support domestic field testing, primarily at Woomera Defence Area / Nurrungar SA
Potentially support international field testing at foreign test facilities such as China Lake Test Facility, USA
Candidates should be able to demonstrate:
Current or ability to immediately gainTechnical Proficiency Level 4
Accredited Bachelor's Degree recognised by Engineers Australia
Minimum three years' relevant post-qualification experience
Technical qualifications and experience, preferably in Electrical, Electronics, Communications, RF or Systems Engineering
Recent Systems Engineering experience in Defence projects within theOne Defence
Capability System
Relevant Defence Joint or Land Domain experience within the past five years
Experience in design and integration of RF / communications systems with other systems
Experience integrating RF / communications systems with land vehicles or portable systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills
CurrentNV1 security clearance
Ability to attainNV2
Ability to work onsite
Ability to meet ITAR-related requirements where applicable
Highly Desirable Experience
Chartered Professional Engineer recognition with Engineers Australia, or ability to obtain it
Experience planning, scoping, budgeting and forecasting engineering tasks and deliverables
Experience working in distributed Defence teams
Acquisition and introduction into service of RF / communications systems
DT&E; and AT&E; experience
Counter-IED / CIED capability experience
Mission Fill development or verification experience
Electronic warfare, countermeasures or reprogramming environment experience
Field trial experience at Woomera or similar Defence test environments
Rate Guidance
Azooa recommended maximum rate:$******/hour including super
Azooa recommends biddingat or below $******/hour including superwhere possible, based on current market conditions.
This will help position the submission more competitively and support a stronger value-for-money outcome.
