About the Role
As 2IC/Assistant Coordinator, you'll work closely with the Coordinator to lead a vibrant before and after school care program, stepping up to run the service confidently in their absence.
You'll help shape engaging, age-appropriate programs, mentor a team of educators, and be a steady, familiar presence for the children and families who rely on the service every day.
You'll join a team that takes real pride in what they've built - one where children feel like they belong, families feel supported, and educators genuinely enjoy the work.
Your Responsibilities
Support the Coordinator in the day-to-day running of the service




Step up to lead the service confidently in the Coordinator's absence
Mentor, guide, and support a team of educators
Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate programs
Implement curriculum in line with the My Time, Our Place framework
Support children's wellbeing, routines, and development
Build genuine relationships with children, families, and the community
Maintain compliance, documentation, and high-quality practice
About You
Certificate III, Diploma or Bachelors in early childhood
Experience in OOSH, education, or childcare settings
Natural leadership qualities - warm, organised, and reliable
Current WWCC and First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certifications
Current Child Protection training, or willingness to obtain
A genuine passion for leading and inspiring a team
Comfortable stepping up and taking initiative
