What you will do
As programs officer, you will support prisoner programs that help people build skills and prepare for life after prison.
You will work with a friendly team, support daily program delivery and help keep important services running well.
You will:
deliverprisoner programs and support services, including intake and orientation
assistprisoners to access programs, activities and welfare support
completeadministration, maintain records and manage program information
supportstaff with prisoner referrals, welfare requests and daily program activities
workwithmultidisciplinaryteams to encourage program participation and support successful community transition.
About you
You should have experience or an understanding of working in a correctional environment.
Experience in welfare, employment or housing is an advantage.
A Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment is desirable but not essential.
You should also have:
experienceusingdigitaltools such as Microsoft 365 applications
strongcommunication skills and the ability to explain information clearly




flexibilityand arespectfulapproach when working with people from diverse backgrounds
soundproblem‐solving skills and the ability to workcollaborativelywith others.
