Job Description
Founded in ****, RM Watson based in NSW is Australia's oldest and most experienced remedial building contractor, they are the experts in remedial services.
They offer a comprehensive range of services; from Concrete & Magnesite Repairs to Balcony Refurbishment, Waterproofing & Facade Coatings, plus much more.
RM Watson are the experts in responding to the ever-changing demands of maintaining Australia's diverse built environment.
We are looking to hire a skilled and experienced Carpenter with knowledge of various carpentry techniques to join our dynamic team of professionals.
You will be responsible for layout, installation, repairing, finishing, and maintaining various structures, fixtures, and buildings.
Other duties will include designing, cutting, and measuring materials according to a client's requirements.
Study and Interpret plans, specifications and drawings to determine carpentry materials required, dimensions and installation procedures
Assist supervisors with structural design, planning, layout, and installation
Sets out, constructs and erects wall and ceiling frames, constructs eaves, and erects roof trusses
Construct and install structures such as walls, flooring systems,



external stairs, paneling and partitions using mechanical fasteners such as nails, screws and brackets
Fit and install windows and doors into wall frames, and installs associated furnishings such as hinges, handles and locks
Repair and renovate wooden structures, including by removing and replacing damaged or deteriorated timber
May construct and install formwork for concrete structures
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Must have at least 3 years' experience in the same field
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Proficient with carpentry tools (saws, levels, drills) and construction techniques
Ability to operate tools, machines, and other equipment
Able to lift heavy materials, climb, and stand for long periods
Strong mathematical skills for accurate measuring and calculating
Compliance with local building codes, and health and safety regulations
Hardworking, reliable, and have good communication and organisational skills
Provide excellent customer service
If you meet the above criteria and would like to be considered for this position, Salary: Between $79,499 and $82,000 per annum + Super
