As part of our widercollaboration andgrowth initiatives, we are currentlyseekingto appoint an individualinthe role ofHighwaysRegional Director.
Reporting directly totheHighways Scotland and EnglandNorth District Leadand working closely withtheHighwaysRegionalDirectors andInfrastructure Team Lead, the role will focus on the pipeline ofmajor projects, positionus to winandexpand theteams'deliveryportfolio.
AECOM has identified significant opportunities for growth in thehighwaysmarketin Scotland and the north ofEnglandand we are positioning ourselves for these.
The role may evolvehoweveryou will lead and managethe pursuitand deliveryofprojects within theHighwaysteams'skillsetin Scotland and the North of England.
There will bea specific focus onclient-centricity,identifyingopportunities, positioningusandmanagingpipeline.Youl also help withsetting upour highwaysprojects forsuccessandinitiallyoverseeing the delivery of these projects.You willbe requiredtounderstand the market trends,anticipateourclientsneedsand deliver the right solutions
About You
Drawing on yourhighways/civil infrastructuredesign and project deliveryexperienceyou will have arecognisedpresence inthe market,



adesire togrow theteamand pursue the priority opportunities in the highways industry,in thisregionand beyond.Your knowledgeand experienceof majorhighwaysprojectsandprogrammeswill beimportant.You will have existing client relationships and experience in these markets and be able to bring the benefit of this toidentify,positionand win new work.You will be able toprovide inspirational leadership and create an inclusive environmentacross a range of disciplines, having led delivery on major projects.
Key Responsibilities
TheHighways Regional Directorwill be accountable foroverseeing the pipelineofnewworkopportunitiesand settingtheHighwaysteam upfor success.Specificallythey will:
Identify, Position, Plan and Prioritise business development activities in the region
Work ina mannerthatfully reflects the market growth potential and position AECOM asa primeconsultant inregionby market share and reputation.
Identifykey clients and key pursuits.Prepare key client management plans and key pursuit plans,maintaininga robust and achievable pipeline of opportunities.
Understand market trends and anticipateclient needsand position AECOM as best solution provider
Develop andmaintainexisting client relationships looking to build trusted advisor status across key clients.
Encourage and support a client-centric approach across the team
Support theHighwaysteam performanceand growth targets including:Book to Burn, Sources of Revenue/Pipeline, Net Service Revenue growth.
Lead major pursuit proposalswith NationalAuthoritiesincluding Transport Scotland and National Highways,andconstructioncontractorpartners
Leverage the wider AECOM network and other business lines to enhance capability andwork winningstrategies.
Set projects up forsuccess and helpprojectteamsin thedelivery ofnewly-wonprojects

Here's what we're looking for:
The following experience is necessary as the minimum requirements for the role of a Highways Regional Director.
A track recordof achieving and /exceeding financial KPIs and driving business growth.
A track recordof winning work and exceeding business growth targets
Experience of developing andmaintainingclient relationships and work backlog with new and existing clients
Experience with clients in the region– both National infrastructure clients(Transport Scotland and National Highways), localauthoritiesandconstructioncontractors
Experience of maximising existing contracts, winning new business and optimising client account management.
Preferred Qualifications
Membership of arecognisedprofessional bodyinan appropriate discipline.
Master's or Bachelor'sDegree inan appropriate discipline.
