Family Lawyer - Senior Associate / Special Counsel
Village Family Lawyersis a progressive, growing, boutique family law practice with beautiful office premises situated in bothMalvernandMount Elizain Victoria.
We are seeking to employ a passionatefamily lawyer (Senior Associate/Special Counsel)with aminimum of 5years of post-admission family law experience.
This role is for either theMalvern or Mount Elizaoffice.
Ideally, the position is full-time, however; substantial part-time hours would be considered.
I.e. 4 full days, or school hours over 5 days.
A hybrid (office/home) model would also be considered.

a passion for alternative dispute resolution;
the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues;
a strong interest in continuous professional development and upskilling;
excellent organisational and communication skills;
experience with proceedings in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, Court appearances and instructing Counsel;
broad experience in complex parenting and financial/property matters, maintenance applications, divorce and Intervention Orders;
precise legal drafting;
a commercial and resolution focused mindset;




a willingness and passion for mentoring less experienced practitioners;
competence with cloud-based practice management software.
E.g. Smokeball, or similar software;
attention to detail and management of deadlines; and
an interest in networking with allied professionals.
Candidates with post-graduate qualifications in the following will be highly regarded
LIV Specialist Accreditation in Family Law;
Master of Laws (Family Law).
