Responsibilities and Duties
Pre-anaesthetic assessments and patient preparation for surgery
Administer and monitor anaesthesia across complex surgical procedures
Real-time monitoring of vital parameters with adjustments as cases demand
Analgesia and pain management across all stages
Perioperative nursing care across pre-op, intra-op, and recovery
Collaboration with ECC, inpatient nursing, and the surgical team
Meticulous record-keeping and strict adherence to safety protocols
About You
Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing
Anaesthesia experience from a hospital or GP setting
Comfortable with advanced monitoring equipment, Calm under pressure with strong attention to detail
A team player who takes clinical excellence seriously
Passionate about patient care
Eager to learn and willingness to try new things
Desirable:
GP, specialist or emergency hospital experience
Interest in VTS (Veterinary Technician Specialist) in anaesthesia
