THE OPPORTUNITY
Here at Norweld, we are continuing to grow our team to keep up with customer demand!
This means we have an exciting current opportunity for a Qualified Automotive Painter to join our team in Hillcrest, Brisbane.
You'll enjoy a great work/life balance with a 4-day week and no weekend work, in a new, clean work environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering top quality results using 2-PAC automotive paint on aluminium tray and canopy components for high-end vehicle builds.
You will be required to maintain a high level of safety, reliability and operational performance to ensure customer satisfaction.




Your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out spray paint activities on aluminium tray and canopy components, in a spray booth environment
Ensuring surfaces are prepped prior to ensure proper adhesion of paint
Mixing paints, primers, and other finishing products to the correct specifications, ensuring proper colour match and consistency
Overseeing the drying process, ensuring that the paint cures properly for durability
Inspecting the work for imperfections, including runs, bubbles, or uneven areas, and correct them
Carrying out inspections and quality control throughout the paint process
Maintaining workplace cleanliness and tool and equipment care
Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time, meeting safety and production targets, to the highest standards
Identifying, assessing and controlling workplace hazards
Ensuring the health and safety of all customers, visitors and team members
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidate will have:
Trade certificate and/or relevant experience
Excellent quality of work and time management skills
Current licenses and certificates (including Australian Drivers Licence)
Strong, ongoing commitment to workplace health & safety
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-skilled team environment
Sound knowledge of 4x4 Makes, Models and popular accessories and brands (desirable)
Passion for the outdoors, off-roading and camping is a plus!
