The Role
We areseeking an experienced
Senior Health & Safety Advisor
to join ourhigh-performing project team delivering a Level Crossing Removal Project inKuraby.
This is a hands-on, site-based role working within an established construction team,where safety is embedded in daily operations.
You'll play a critical role indriving safe outcomes on a complex infrastructure project involving railinterfaces, traffic management, and major civil works.
Key Responsibilities
Provide expert WHS guidanceacross all site activities, ensuring compliance with Queensland safetylegislation and TMR requirements
Partner closely withsupervisors, engineers, and project leaders to embed practical safetysolutions
Lead and support incidentinvestigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
Conduct regular siteinspections, audits, and risk assessments
Drive proactive hazardidentification and facilitate daily pre-starts and toolbox talks
Monitor safety performance andcontribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Support subcontractors to ensurealignment with project safety expectations and systems
Promote a culture ofaccountability, leadership, and safe behaviours across the team
About You
You're aconfident and approachable safety leader who thrives in a team-basedconstruction workplace and is comfortable being on site, engaging with crewsand driving outcomes.
Essential:
Proven experience as a SeniorSafety Advisor (or strong Safety Advisor ready to step up)
Background in civilconstruction, rail, or major infrastructure projects
Strong working knowledge ofQueensland WHS legislation
Demonstrated experience managinghigh-risk construction activities (e.g. rail interfaces, traffic, confinedspaces, lifting operations)
Excellent communication skillswith the ability to influence at all levels on site
Diploma in Work Health &Safety; (minimum)
Desirable:
Experience working on TMR orrail corridor projects
ICAM (or equivalent)investigation training
Lead Auditor qualification
