Your next career opportunity
In this Lecturer role, you will shape integrated urban water teaching and mentor future water professionals.
You will lead research on smart water grids, optimising stormwater systems through real-time control.
You will collaborate across science and engineering to deliver real-world impact with industry and government partners.
What you will deliver:
Design and deliver integrated urban water curricula that enhance student learning and reflect emerging industry practice.
Coordinate lectures, tutorials, seminars and field trips, ensuring engaging experiences and robust assessment processes.
Lead and publish high-quality research on smart water systems using real-time control of stormwater infrastructure.
Develop competitive research proposals and build national and international collaborations with academia, industry and government.
Supervise honours and postgraduate students, supporting timely completion and strong research outcomes in urban water.
You may be a great fit if you:
Hold a PhD in hydrology, water engineering or a closely related discipline.
Demonstrate research expertise in real-time control algorithms for urban stormwater and green infrastructure management.




Deliver engaging undergraduate and graduate teaching in integrated urban water management, including field-based learning.
Supervise honours and postgraduate research students, guiding them to successful and timely project completion.
Use industry stormwater and flood modelling tools such as SWMM, MUSIC and related software.
Engage effectively with industry, government and international partners to co-develop impactful urban water solutions.
