Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experiencedSenior Spare Parts Interpreterto join their busy South East Melbourne branch.

The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, you'll become the technical support person for customers, workshop technicians and field service engineers.
You'll be responsible for accurately identifying and sourcing parts, supporting major customers, and ensuring equipment downtime is kept to an absolute minimum.
This is a varied role where no two days are the same.
From handling technical enquiries and sourcing difficult-to-find components through OEM networks, to processing warranty claims and supporting the service department, you'll play an integral role in the success of the branch.
The business is also looking for someone who can contribute new ideas, improve the parts operation and identify opportunities to increase aftermarket sales and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret and identify customer parts requirements via phone,



email and trade counter.
Provide technical parts advice and outstanding customer service.
Support the workshop and field service technicians with application and parts enquiries.
Source parts through OEMs and dealer networks across Australia.
Process parts orders, purchase orders, invoices and inventory transactions.
Manage warranty claims and parts returns.
Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stocktakes.
Ensure parts are supplied efficiently to minimise customer downtime.
Work alongside the Branch Manager to develop aftermarket parts sales and strengthen customer relationships.
About You
To be successful, you will have:
Minimum 2 years' experience as a Spare Parts Interpreter.
Experience within earthmoving, construction equipment, heavy vehicles, agricultural machinery, mining equipment, material handling or a related heavy equipment industry.
Strong mechanical aptitude and technical knowledge.
Experience using dealer management or inventory systems.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise in a quick-paced environment.
A trade qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
