About General Medicine
Monash Health General Medicine is a busy department that delivers a vast volume of clinical services in inpatient and ambulatory settings, with inpatient activity at three major hospital campuses namely Casey Hospital, Dandenong Hospital, and Monash Medical Centre. The General Medicine department fosters strong partnerships with every other medical department as well as a range of external stakeholders, in order to understand and adapt to meeting community needs upon a constantly changing healthcare landscape in Victoria.
General Medicine engages with the organisation's education, research and clinical governance programs, to promote continuous improvement of the standard of care. In particular, the department is defined by a culture of reflective learning and interdisciplinary teamwork.
About the Role
The General Medicine Registrar role delivers services through rotational placements at multiple campuses of Monash Health. Beyond service delivery,
the Registrar role is designed to participate in activities that contribute to the standard of the health service, such as research, teaching, and quality improvement.
At Monash Health General Medicine, the Registrar is to role model strong interdisciplinary collaboration that is based on effective communication. The professional development of the Registrar is to be self-driven.
About You
What you need:
Medical qualification which is recognised for registration by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Demonstrated ability to work cohesively as part of interdisciplinary teams
Clinical experience commensurate with the standards required by Monash Health for medical registrar practice
Mandatory requirements of the role:
Capacity to deliver care in the hospital (at all Monash Health campuses) and in the ambulatory setting
Working rights in Australia
Two (2) completed referee reports (see below)
