We are recruiting a Registered Nurse, Scrub/Scout, to join an established day surgery perioperative team in the Adelaide area, on a 0.6 FTE basis, weekdays only.
This role calls for a nurse with robust scrub/scout experience across both ophthalmology and oral/dental procedures. This combination is non-negotiable for this vacancy.
What You'll Be Doing
Scrubbing and scouting for ophthalmology and oral/dental surgical lists
Preparing and maintaining the sterile field, instruments and equipment for each case
Anticipating surgeon and procedural requirements during cases
Managing instrument counts, stock and equipment specific to ophthalmic and oral/dental lists
Working with the surgical team to support patient safety checks throughout each list
What's On Offer
0.6 FTE, permanent, weekdays only
$38 to $51 per hour, depending on experience
No weekends
No night duty
Excellent work/life balance
A theatre team of around 20 permanent and casual staff
A future 0.7 FTE Clinical Nurse (Ophthalmology & Oral) position is expected to be approved soon, for nurses looking to progress
What You'll Need
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
Scrub/scout experience in ophthalmology procedures
Scrub/scout experience in oral/dental procedures
