Position: Retail Manager

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $85,000 plus superannuation per annum

Location: Girraween NSW 2145

Our client is seeking an experienced Retail Manager to oversee the daily operations of their supermarket in Girraween, New South Wales.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Manag the daily operations of the retail store to ensure efficient and profitable business performance.
Supervise, train and motivate staff to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service.
Monitor sales performance, prepared reports, and implemented strategies to improve revenue and profitability.
Manage inventory levels, stock ordering, stock control, and merchandising to ensure product availability.
Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and returns professionally while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
Prepare staff rosters, allocate duties, and monitor employee performance.
Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety policies, company procedures, and retail regulations.
Manage cash handling, point-of-sale (POS) transactions, banking, and end-of-day reconciliation.
Maintain high standards of visual merchandising, store presentation, and cleanliness.




Coordinate promotional activities and marketing campaigns to increase sales and customer engagement.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and team members.
Monitor budgets, controlled operational expenses, and implemented cost-saving initiatives.

Requirements:
AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in relevant field
At least 12 months of prior experience as a Retail Manager
Experience working with Indian grocery products, spices, fresh produce, and specialty food items will be highly regarded
Proficiency in Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Gujarati, or other Indian languages will be highly regarded
Solid leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Sound knowledge of inventory control and merchandising practices.
Ability to work in a quick-paced retail setting and make effective decisions under pressure.
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer applications.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and workplace health and safety requirements.
