Join a newly formed Vulnerability Management practice in a large-scale consumer banking workplace.

This is a hands-on coding role, where you'll be responsible for fixing vulnerabilities, automating security processes, and future-proofing application security.

/n

Location: Gold Coast – Hybrid, with 2 days per week in the office (must be within 1.5 hours' travel).

/n

Salary: Up to $150K for Engineer / $180K for Senior Engineer.

/n

Huge scope—securing 100+ applications with 18,000 vulnerabilities in the backlog.

/n

No security background required—we need strong developers with an interest in secure coding.

/n

Hands-on coding—fix vulnerabilities in Java, C#, Node.js, or React.

/n

Automation focus—build scalable security solutions.

/n

Collaborate with system teams—solve real security issues uncovered in reviews.

/n

What You'll Do:

Fix security vulnerabilities and strengthen application security.

/n
Automate security processes for effective vulnerability remediation.

/n
Work closely with development, operations, and customer support teams.

/n
Help establish secure coding best practices across the business.

Minimum Requirements:

/n

/n
2–5 years' experience in software engineering.

/n
Proficiency in Java, C#, Node.js, or React.

/n
Understanding of vulnerabilities, secure coding, and automation is a plus but not required.

/n
Experience with security tools like Snyk, Tenable, or Fortify (a plus!).

/n
Ability to communicate security risks and influence engineering teams.
