The Role
The EL 1 Product Manager leads the sustainment, optimisation and lifecycle management of complex Defence capabilities within the Diving, Autonomous and Signature Systems Program Office.
The role is accountable for developing and implementing product management strategies that ensure capability systems remain safe, available, effective and aligned with Defence and Navy operational requirements.
Operating with a high degree of autonomy, the EL 1 provides leadership in managing technical, commercial, governance and stakeholder challenges, balancing performance, risk, cost and schedule outcomes.
The Product Manager will be expected to work with functional leads; engineering, logistics, commercial, and customers within Army to ensure coordinated delivery of sustainment efforts across diving and hyperbaric system capability.
The position leads multidisciplinary teams, manages resources, drives continuous improvement and fosters a high-performing workforce to achieve strategic objectives.
Working closely with Defence, ARMY, Navy and industry stakeholders, the EL 1 Product Manager ensures effective capability sustainment, transition and asset management across the capability lifecycle while delivering value-for-money outcomes for Defence.

Maritime Sustainment Division (MSD) operates within the Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group delivering in-service support to Navy and Army along with delivering current capability to Government.
MSD is embarking on transformational change to establish the Maritime Sustainment Model and ensure the organisation is able to respond to emerging demands and strategic priorities.
The Diving, Autonomous and Signatures System Program Office sits within MSD and delivers sustainment support to a number of Navy and Army assets for Defence diving operations and autonomous maritime capabilities.
