About the role
The Perinatal Emotional Health Service (PEHS)is a specialist teamand is part of Infant Child and Youth Mental Health Service thatprovides perinatal mental health care, aiming to improve the identification, referraland treatment of women experiencing, or at risk of, perinatal mental health challenges fromtheantenatalperiod through to the infant's first year. The team works in close partnership with antenatalclinics, primary health providers, and maternal and child health services to ensure accessible,culturally sensitive, and integrated care.
The team provides mental health assessment and clinical case management. There is a robust culture of ongoing career development,



quality supervision, and robust structures to support clinicians to develop their skills. The purpose to the Intake worker is to provide assertive follow up of women experiencing perinatal mental health issues, this includes completing screening, coordinating referrals to existing services and liaison with other health care providers.
About you
To be successful in this role you shouldpossess:
Current registration, OT, Clinical Psychology or Nursing with AHPRA. Social work eligibility for membership with AASW
Post-graduate qualifications in Mental Health for Nursing position
5 years' experience in public tertiary mental health or perinatal emotional health
A strong commitment to high-quality care
Excellent communication and organizational skills
The ability to work as part of amultidisciplinaryteam.
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role, and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up-to-date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year.



Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up-to-date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
