MCS Civil is seeking an experiencedSenior Civil Estimatorto play a key role in securing and delivering essential infrastructure projects.
This is an prospect for a commercially driven estimator to take ownership of complex civil infrastructure tenders, from initial review and pricing strategy through to submission, negotiation and project handover.
This role is suited to an experienced estimator who enjoys ownership, collaboration and being involved beyond the numbers.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end estimating processes for major civil infrastructure tenders
Review tender documentation, specifications and project requirements
Develop pricing strategies, cost plans and tender submissions
Complete detailed quantity take-offs and first-principles estimating
Analyse project risks, opportunities and commercial considerations
Engage with subcontractors, suppliers and project stakeholders
Identify value engineering opportunities and constructability improvements
Support tender negotiations and commercial reviews




Prepare accurate handover information for project delivery teams
Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating systems and processes
About You - Skills & Essential Experience
Proven experience as a Senior Civil Estimator within civil construction or infrastructure
Strong understanding of civil construction methodologies and project delivery
Experience preparing tenders for major civil works
Ability to complete detailed cost planning and first-principles estimating
Strong commercial understanding and attention to detail
Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and contract documentation
Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
Experience estimating in a number of the below disciplines.

Rail infrastructure
Roads and earthworks
Utilities
