Melbourne Hydraulics is looking for a motivated and skilledMotor Mechanicto join our growing team in Keysborough.
This is an exciting opportunity to work onbrand-new heavy vehicles, fitting and installing hydraulic and mechanical components to customer specifications.
You'll work with some of the industry's leading truck brands, includingKenworth, DAF, Mercedes-Benz, Mack, and Scania, in a clean, modern workshop alongside a supportive and experienced team.

About the Role
Your primary focus will be fitting and installing hydraulic equipment on new heavy vehicles.
Key responsibilities include:
Installing hydraulic equipment, fitting PTOs (Power Take-Offs), pumps, tanks, and ancillary equipment.
Collaborating with our engineering team to develop, fabricate, and install custom bracketry and mounting systems for bespoke heavy vehicle builds and customer-specific applications.
Installing and fitting truck-mounted accessories and equipment.
Performing mechanical modifications and fit outs on current heavy vehicles.
Carrying out quality checks to ensure all work meets company and manufacturer standards and regulations.
Working collaboratively within a team environment to oversee multiple jobs systematically.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:




A qualification as a Motor Mechanic or Auto Electrician is preferred; however, applicants with strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
Applicants must have unrestricted Australian working rights.
Experience using hand and power tools.
Strong mechanical problem-solving skills.
Good communication and time management skills.
A positive attitude and a willingness to develop new skills.
Pride in producing high-quality work and the ability to work well within a team.
