Technical Lead / Senior Air Quality & Odour Consultant

The Role
The Technical Lead/Senior Air Quality & Odour Consultant is responsible for working closely with the Team Lead to deliver high-quality air quality, odour, emissions and environmental monitoring projects while helping strengthen capability, improve processes, and expand Ektimo's service offering. The role also collaborates and partners with team leadership to support the day-to-day operations, develop client relationships and identify opportunities for sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Liaise, manage and maintain client relationships across all stages of work;
Oversee projects of all levels of complexity, including scope development, drafting proposals, field work/onsite testing, and the compilation of technical reports;
Ensure projects are designed and delivered in accordance with the client's needs and with adherence to relevant guidelines and legislation;
Actively collaborate with the team and contribute to technical work, HSEQ matters, project management and strategic team decisions;
Actively seek new clients and prepare tenders and quotations and required;
Supervise,
train and mentor field technicians and consultants in relation to both field- and desktop-based duties;
Manage project deadlines and perform checks on technical reports;
Draft technical documentation to cater to client requirements;
Analyse and interpret monitoring data;
Ensure compliance with Ektimo's HSE quality systems, specifically onsite safety and risk management;
Perform field work as required;
Proactively participate in process improvement.
Experience & Knowledge
As the ideal candidate, you will have:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in science, environmental science, engineering or similar, ideally with a focus on air/odour;
Extensive (5+ years) experience in odour and air quality management;
Experience in data collection, interpreting data requirements and job lifecycle activities (tender and quoting, through to invoicing);
Demonstrated experience in training and upskilling others;
Knowledge of relevant industry equipment use, and methods, guidelines, legislation and frameworks;
Ability to prepare and draft complex technical documents such as technical reports and assessments;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain productive relationships with external clients and internal stakeholders;
Highly regarded will be:
Experience in preparing and evaluating risk assessments, management plans and other technical documents;
Experience with dispersion modelling packages such as AERMOD, CALPUFF & TAPM;
Data analysis capabilities.
The role will require some overnight travel as required based on project requirements. An Australian driver's license is also required.
