Your role at St John of God Social Outreach
We are seeking applications from experienced and compassionate Mental Health Clinicians -Psychologists or Mental Health Accredited Social Workers to join our Social Outreach team in Ballarat on a permanent part-time basis. In this role, you will join a specialist multidisciplinary team providing integrated, evidence-based care to women, infants, partners and families experiencing perinatal and infant mental health challenges. You will provide assessment, therapeutic intervention and ongoing support, working collaboratively to promote positive mental health and wellbeing throughout the perinatal journey.
The Position Provides advanced level clinical services including a range of individualised and group clinical care based on professional training reflecting current ethical clinical practice as required. Provides comprehensive assessment and care planning monitoring at and advanced level for complex and general caseloads. Ensures effective multidisciplinary teamwork through professional communication and comprehensive liaison with colleagues, patient/carers and service providers. Liaise with compensable bodies, financial institutions and external care agencies where appropriate. Liaise with multi-disciplinary team to promote effective communication including verbal and written feedback to referring Doctor.
About You
You will hold a tertiary qualification in Psychology or Social Work with current registration or eligibility for membership with the relevant professional body. For Social Workers,
current Mental Health Accreditation with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) is an essential requirement for this role. You will also need to have a Medicare Provider Number or must be eligible to obtain. You will bring demonstrated experience delivering evidence-based mental health interventions, with strong clinical reasoning, communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in, or a strong interest in, perinatal and infant mental health will be highly regarded. Experience running groups and providing individual therapy will be highly regarded. Compensation and Benefits
We can offer you Psychologist: $79,551 to $118,246 (pro-rata for part-time) plus 12% Superannuation. Social Worker: $75,308 to $109,067 (pro-rata for part-time) plus 12% Superannuation. Permanent position, working 22.8 hours per week. Salary packaging up to $18,550 on a range of benefits such as mortgage, rent, meal entertainment, holiday accommodation or other everyday living expenses as well as options to salary package benefits above the FBT cap on items such as:
