Attractive Salary: $75,000 Base + Super + monthly incentivesPlease note the max range to start is $72,000 Base until probation is passed; then you will be bumped to $75k Base.

They operate across Japan, Europe, and Australia and every trip is designed to benefit the people and places it touches.
The Japan program covers four of the country's most breathtaking walking routes: Kumano Kodo, Nakasendo Way, Michinoku Coastal Trail, and Shimanami Kaido.
It's one of the most in-demand programs in the business and it's growing fast.

The team:
You'll join the Japan team alongside two others reporting to the Japan Destination Manager.
The culture here is warm, collaborative, and adventurous.
People have passion in common.
High standards, but never corporate, this is a small business where you're known, backed, and heard.
What you'll do:
Sales & Client Management
Manage a mix of warm and slightly colder inbound leads (downloaded guides etc), guiding customers through their Japan travel journey from first enquiry to booking
Call destination guide downloaders and convert interest into bookings
Provide outstanding customer service from first contact through to post-travel follow-up
Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales targets
Itinerary & Product
Produce high-quality, detailed and personalised Japan travel itineraries for both self-guided and guided trips
Develop deep product knowledge across Kumano Kodo, Nakasendo Way, Michinoku Coastal Trail and Shimanami Kaido
Liaise with suppliers and guides on the ground in Japan
Attend occasional functions outside office hours including talks, research trips and development weekends
Operations & Admin
Process reservations across multiple supplier systems and channels
Prepare and check all pre‐departure documentation and client communications
Work closely with Louisa to maintain client notes,



communication templates and blog content
Assist with trip profitability, helping ensure trips run to budget
Contribute ideas to improve processes and work efficiencies
Who we're looking for:
This role is for someone who is genuinely passionate about adventure travel and the outdoors not just on paper.
The team will know the difference immediately.
You'll likely:
Have experience in travel, tourism, hospitality, or a related field or bring genuine, deep personal travel experience
Be comfortable on the phone and natural in conversation warm sales is still sales
Be self‐reliant, you connect the dots, you don't wait for a manual
Have solid written communication, your clients receive detailed, high‐quality itineraries
Be organised and admin‐capable, this role has a real operational component alongside the sales
Be solutions‐oriented and proactive, you see a gap and you fill it
Align with values: authenticity, adventure, exceptional service, integrity, and positive impact
Japan knowledge is a nice to have, not a must.
A love of walking and the outdoors is not optional.

Must-haves:
Genuine passion for adventure travel and the outdoors
Comfortable with phone-based and web-based sales & have some sales experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Organised, detail‐oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities at once
Self‐motivated and ownership‐driven
Nice to haves
Travel industry or tourism experience
Japan destination knowledge (personal or professional)
Experience with reservation or booking systems
Understanding of walking tour operations
