We are currently seeking an experiencedSafety Training Partnerto join our team at the Laverton Processing Facility operation.
Reporting to the Group Health & Safety Manager and working an 8/6 roster, this is a great chance to play a key role in providing frontline construction safety leadership, emergency response capability and workforce support for the Laverton Mill Construction Project.
As the Safety Training Partner, your key responsibilities will include:
Promote a positive, proactive and accountable safetyculture across the Project.
Support compliance with WHS legislation, mininglegislation, site standards, Project requirements and companyprocedures.
Support implementation and compliance with the ProjectConstruction Safety Management Plan and Principal Contractorrequirements
Provide practical safety advice and coaching tosupervisors, workers and contractors
Participate in safety meetings, toolbox meetings, pre-startmeetings and risk reviews
Support the SSE in meeting statutory safetyobligations
Exercise and support Stop Work Authority where unsafeconditions, behaviours or uncontrolled risks areidentified
Promote workforce engagement in hazard identification, riskmanagement and continuous improvement initiatives
Provide emergency response capability across the Laverton Mill Construction Project
Respond to medical emergencies, incidents and siteemergency events.
Facilitate emergency response exercises, simulations anddrills.
Support the development, review and testing of emergencyresponse plans and procedures
About You
Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (minimum)
Current C Class Driver's Licence
Current First Aid and CPR certification
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
HLT***** Diploma of Emergency Health Care or HLT*****Certificate IV in Health Care (minimum requirement)
Demonstrated experience in construction project safety,mining construction, heavy industrial or resources sectorprojects
Experience conducting workplace inspections, audits,incident investigations and risk assessment
