Manages and leads projects
Develops briefs on highly complex issues that provide options for discussion and consideration and will contribute to the development of a set of final options for decision
Initiates and maintains relationships with peer and senior internal and external stakeholders
Negotiates with stakeholders and peers with the object of gaining co-operation and meeting timelines for delivery of project, service or advice
The Team
The position of Senior Project Officer (Marrung Team) forms a part of the TAFE Strategy, Systems and Tertiary Governance branch within the Skills and TAFE group.
Skills and TAFE (S&T;) focuses on enabling Victorians to access the knowledge, skills and attributes they need to participate in today's workforce, prepare for future jobs, and achieve their educational aspirations.
The Office of TAFE Coordination and Delivery (OTCD) incorporating the TAFE Strategy, Systems and TertiaryGovernance branch and the TAFE Performance, Finance and Infrastructurebranch, plays a system leadership and management role for the Victorian TAFE Network (VTN) across Victoria.
Project Delivery:Defines governance e.g. success measures, roles and responsibilities, progress monitoring) required to manage risks and maximise probability of success.




Stakeholder Engagement:Identifies and responds to stakeholder's underlying needs; Uses understanding of the stakeholder's organisational context to ensure outcomes are achieved.
Partnering and Co-creation:Builds trust in partnerships through timely and quality delivery of outcomes; Facilitates discussion and navigates differences of opinion to reach decisions.
Previous work with First Nations communities including policy and program development for First Nations is highly desirable.
A relevant tertiary qualification in public policy, economics, or a related discipline is desirable, or equivalently experience in government workplace, would be well regarded.
