The Role
We are seeking a recent Business,Commerceand/or Marketing graduate to join our Sales team as a Sales Analyst in our Melbourne office (locatedin Preston).
In this role, you will turn sales performance data into clear insights and present them to the sales team, directly informing commercial strategy, operational decision-making, and the calculation of sales representative commissions and incentives.
You will have the opportunity to build your commercial acumen and analytical capabilities in a fast-paced wholesale environment, working closely with the Director of Sales and the broader commercial team.
Key Responsibilities
Present weekly sales insights to the Sales team, translating data into clear, actionable takeaways on performance, gaps, and opportunities
Prepareaccurate, clearly structured performance reports for review by the Director of Sales
Track and report on KPIs across commercial and key account channels, including revenue versus target, order frequency, and account activity
Monitor and analyse sales performance across B2B and D2C channels,identifyingtrends, variances, and anomalies
Extract, compile, andmaintainsales performance data from Microsoft Dynamics AX on a weekly and monthly cycle
Develop,buildandmaintainreporting templates, performancetrackersand tools to enable the Sales Managers to drive performance
Support commercial planning cycles by coordinating agenda,maintaininga central hub for priorities, and setting KPIs in conjunction with stakeholders
Ensure data integrity within Microsoft Dynamics AX,



escalating discrepancies to the Director of Sales asrequired
Support the Director of Sales with ad hoc commercial analysis and data requests
Handle performance and remuneration-linked data with discretion and confidentiality
About You
You are a recent business,marketingand/or commerce graduate with a desire to venture into the world of sales.
This role presents asa great opportunityfor you to begin your journey in the commercial landscape.
Clear analytical and communication skills — confident communicator, with the ability to conduct analysis, draw out insights and present findings in a structured, self-explanatory format to the sales team
Strong stakeholder management capabilities, with the confidence to share insights and engage across all levels of the organisation
A recent Business, Commerce or Marketing graduate ready to start your commercial career; placements, internships, or up to 1–2 years in a commercial, sales, or analytical role is a bonus, not a requirement
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (data manipulation,pivot tables, formula-based reporting)
Strong attention to detail, with an understanding of the downstream impact of reporting errors on commission and incentive calculations
Proficiencyacross Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint
Self-directed and comfortable managing recurring deadlines with limited day-to-day oversight
Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics AX or an equivalent ERP system (SAP, NetSuite) for transactional data extractionisadvantageous
Experience with Power BI or an equivalent data visualisation tool
Exposure to the kitchenware, gifting, homeware, or consumer goods sector
