About the role
As the Director of Strategic Finance and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A;) at Iqgeo, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy and direction of the company. You will be responsible for overseeing financial planning, forecasting, and analysis, ensuring that the company's financial goals align with its overall strategic objectives. Your leadership will be crucial in guiding the finance team and collaborating with other departments to enhance financial performance and operational efficiency.

What you'll do
Lead the development and execution of the company's financial strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
Oversee the annual budgeting process, including the preparation of detailed forecasts and variance analyses to provide actionable insights.
Collaborate with senior management to evaluate financial performance, identify trends, and recommend strategic initiatives to enhance profitability.
Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Drive the implementation of financial modeling and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making and long-term planning.
Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor financial health and operational efficiency across the organization.
Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals,



fostering a culture of continuous improvement and career development.
Engage with external stakeholders, including investors and financial institutions, to communicate financial performance and strategic initiatives.
Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives, providing insights on potential risks and opportunities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize resource allocation and enhance operational effectiveness.
Ensure the integrity of financial data and systems, implementing best practices in financial governance and compliance.
Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure the company remains competitive and compliant.
Requirements
A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; a master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is highly desirable.
A minimum of 8 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a corporate finance or FP&A; environment.
Proven track record of developing and executing financial strategies that drive business growth and operational efficiency.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,



with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior management and cross-functional teams.
Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting processes, with proficiency in financial software and tools.
Strong understanding of financial regulations, compliance, and best practices in financial governance.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Nice to have
Experience in the technology or telecommunications sectors, particularly in companies focused on geospatial or network management solutions.
Familiarity with data analytics tools and techniques to enhance financial reporting and decision-making.
Previous experience in mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and integration processes.
Knowledge of international finance and experience working in a global business environment.
Skills & tools
Proficiency in financial software such as SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems.
Advanced Excel skills for financial modeling and analysis.
Familiarity with business intelligence tools like Tableau or Power BI for data visualization.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (IFRS, GAAP).
Practical notes
This position is based in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, and may require occasional travel for meetings or conferences.
