The Blood Unit is seeking a friendly, organised and reliable Medical Administrator to join our close-knit and supportive team. This is a full-time position ideal for someone who thrives in a patient-focused environment and enjoys variety in their day.
About the Role
As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and professional experience. This is a dynamic position where no two days are the same—you'll be supporting both patients and clinicians while ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.
Key Responsibilities
Warmly greeting patients and managing appointments and enquiries
Maintaining accurate patient records and billing information
Preparing correspondence and providing administrative support to clinicians
Liaising with pathology providers and referring doctors
Contributing to an organised, efficient, and well-run practice
About You
You are personable, proactive, and take pride in delivering excellent patient care. You communicate clearly, have robust attention to detail,



and enjoy working as part of a team-oriented team in a fast-paced workplace.
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in medical or healthcare administration (minimum 1–2 years)
Confidence using medical software and Microsoft Office & the ability to learn new systems quickly
Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask
A compassionate, patient-centered approach
