Therapeutic Youth Worker (Residential)

Hourly Rates:
From $***** per hour + Super (Dependant on qualifications & experience)
In these roles, you'll support young people aged ***** who've experienced trauma, abuse, or neglect. Some may have also disabilities or complex medical needs requiring specialised support and/or personal care.
You'll work within a dedicated team to create a protected, homelike environment where young people can build independence, develop problem-solving skills, and form positive relationships.
Our residential homes operate 24/7, therefore it is
essential
that successful applicants are able and willing to work a roster which regularly includes afternoon, sleepover and weekend shifts.
Hold or be working toward a Diploma qualification or higher in Community Services (or a related field) or have relevant experience and be willing to complete the Diploma through LWB. Note:



A qualification is desirable but not essential for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants with relevant experience)
A current Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) certificate.
Experience supporting children, young people, and/or people with disabilities, ideally in a residential care setting.
Awareness of trauma informed care and possess the skills to implement this when supporting children and young people.
Willingness to assist with daily living activities, including personal care where required.
Successful candidates will be required to explicit probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check, NSW Working with Children Check and NSW Residential Care Workers Register check.
