2x Fixed term roles until 30 June ****, full-time role earning $100,894 to $114,476 per year, plus super.
What you will do
As policy and projects officer, you will help improve health, safety and wellbeing across the department.
You will develop explicit resources, support key projects and help build a strong safety culture.
You will:
develop
clear
health and safety policies, procedures, guidance, templates and intranet content
plan and lead
practical
consultation with employees, health and safety representatives and managers
write
simple
documents that turn complex information into easy-to-use guidance
support
priority
projects, report on progress and help solve issues as they arise
maintain
accurate
records, contribute to continuous improvement and help build staff knowledge through policies, procedures and training.
About you
A tertiary qualification in occupational health and safety, or progress towards completing one, is highly desirable. Policy or safety experience is also highly desirable.
You should also have:
strong
writing skills for policies, reports and business cases
good
knowledge of policy development and Victorian Government processes, or the ability to learn quickly
experience
managing digital content,



intranet platforms and Microsoft Office, including electronic document management systems such as TRIM
sound
problem-solving, project delivery and communication skills, with a commitment to inclusion and continuous improvement.
