Our client is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Procurement Manager to lead their end-to-end procurement and supply chain function within a leading window furnishings business.
This is a senior leadership role focused on strategic sourcing, supplier management, cost optimisation, and driving profitability across the business.
You will play a key role in shaping supply chain strategy, developing supplier networks, supporting new product development (NPD), and delivering measurable cost savings.
This is not a transactional purchasing role — it is a strategic procurement leadership position focused on improving margins, strengthening supplier relationships, and driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Lead sourcing initiatives to deliver annual savings (compounding year-on-year)
Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities across product categories and supply chains
Support and drive New Product Development (NPD) initiatives
Ensure procurement decisions balance cost, quality, and risk
Oversee all purchasing activity and procurement team performance
Manage stock levels aligned with sales forecasts and promotional activity
Develop accurate purchasing plans based on demand and market trends
Optimise direct import strategies to improve margins and reduce costs
Manage supplier contracts, agreements, and relationships
Drive freight, logistics, and landed cost efficiencies
Oversee supplier rebates, credits, and claims resolution
Maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs), product costs, and sell prices
Conduct annual reviews of product costs, pricing structures, and margins
Ensure pricing accuracy and profitability across all product lines
Drive continuous improvement across systems, processes, and procedures
Provide reporting and insights on DIFOT, lead times, stock availability, and carrier performance
Resolve operational issues and support cross-functional stakeholders
About You
Minimum 5+ years' experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Operations leadership
Proven experience in the window furnishings industry (essential)
Strong track record of delivering measurable cost savings and commercial outcomes
Experience managing teams and driving performance
Strong background in inventory planning, forecasting, and stock control
Experience in high-volume, made-to-order environments, projects, within lead times
Key Skills
Strong commercial and financial acumen
Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
Advanced systems, reporting, and computer proficiency
High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced workplace
