We offer both full-time and part-time employment opportunities across a range of telecommunications projects throughout the Melbourne region.
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret construction drawings, cable plans, and transmission designs.
Work onTelstra Wideband, AURA, DATA@IP, NBN ODMS, and Transitprojects.
Install, terminate fiber optic cables, joints and sub-racks within Telstra and NBN networks for single and ribbon fibers.
Install and configure customer-end equipment, includingNTU, NTD, BTD, and other transmission equipment.
Build fiber paths through current and existing telecommunications networks.
Complete optical fiber patching in exchanges and customer premises.
ConductOTDR, insertion loss (IL), and throughput testing.
Perform fault finding using optical power meters and light sources.
Complete exchange transfers and fibre patching activities.




Carry out internal and external cable hauling, including rod and rope operations.
Follow all Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) requirements and safe work practices.
Essential Requirements
Proven experience as an Optical Fiber Technician on a major telecommunications network.
NBN enAbleaccreditation.
ACMA Open Cable Registrationwith Fiber Endorsement.
Ability to read and interpret cable plans and network designs.
Confined Space certification.
Traffic Management Training.
Construction Induction (White Card).
Current First Aid and CPR certification.
Valid Australian Driver's License.
Reliable transport and willingness to travel throughout the Melbourne metropolitan region and other states.
