We are seeking anExperienced Parts Interpreterto join our parts team.
LMG has sites in Ringwood, South Yarra, Richmond and Moonee Ponds.
We represent a number of brands, being Volkswagen, Skoda, Omoda Jaecoo & Farizon
This position, being phone based trade & panel enquiry, the successful candidate can be based at either Ringwood or South Yarra site depending on the candidate.
LMG is a family-owned dealership group based in Melbourne.
You will step into a fast-paced setting where you help drive the continued success of our existing Trade & Panel customers.
Key Responsibilities
Part Identification:Interpret customer and mechanic requests to accurately identify make, model, year, and variations of vehicles.
Sourcing & Ordering:Use electronic catalogues, databases, and online systems to locate part numbers, check availability, and order from suppliers.
Customer Service:Advise internal and external customers on product range, pricing, warranties, and compatible companion parts.
Sales & Invoicing:Calculate taxes and discounts, generate quotes, process cash/card transactions, and prepare invoices.
Inventory Management:Receive and dispatch stock, assist with regular stocktakes,



and update inventory systems.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience:Previous experience as automotive parts interpreting or similar role is required.
Knowledge:Deep understanding of automotive components, terminology, and vehicle systems.
Tech-Savvy:Proficiency with inventory management and dealership software (e.g., ERA/Pentana, SAP).
Communication:Excellent phone manner and interpersonal skills to handle trade and retail enquiries.
