Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Maintenance Leading Hand to join our team, supporting projects primarily throughout Victoria.

About the Role
As the Maintenance Leading Hand, you will lead a skilled maintenance team responsible for ensuring our fleet remains protected, reliable and operational.
You'll play a key role in planning maintenance activities, driving continuous improvement initiatives and supporting the performance of our operations.
Sandvik, UDR, KWL, Boart Longyear and EDM drilling/rod handling equipment
MAN trucks
Toyota light vehicles
Modern support and auxiliary equipment
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor and develop a team of mechanical and electrical maintenance personnel.
Coordinate and oversee maintenance, repairs and equipment overhauls.
Monitor fleet reliability and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.




Review maintenance performance and provide regular reporting to management.
Plan upcoming overhauls and maintenance requirements to minimise downtime.
Manage spare assets and critical inventory availability.
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers and service providers.
Conduct field visits to support site-based maintenance activities.
Ensure compliance with company, client and statutory safety requirements.
Support maintenance budgeting, workforce planning and resource allocation.
Drive high standards of workmanship, productivity and team performance.
What We're Looking For
Trade-qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic, Fitter or similar qualification.
Previous experience in a maintenance leadership, supervisor or leading hand role.
Strong understanding of drilling equipment and heavy mobile plant maintenance.
Experience with Sandvik, UDR, Boart Longyear or EDM equipment highly regarded.
Exceptional safety focus and commitment to workplace standards.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Competent computer skills (experience using maintenance management systems, digital work orders, Purchasing Systems and Microsoft Office.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
Current driver's licence.
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screening (for mine site access).
